Bulk billing- referral from GP, or psychiatrist needed
The first thing you will need to do is obtain a GP mental health plan from your regular general practitioner. If you are eligible for such a plan, please make an appointment with the bulk billing psychologist.
Private Health Fund Rebate
Many private health insurance funds provide a rebate for psychology services. Please contact your health insurance fund prior to your appointment to find out whether your policy covers services provided by the psychologist.
We have a HICAPS facility available to make the process easier for you. With HICAPS you no longer need to make a separate trip to your private health fund branch to make a claim or send your claim via post. The claim is finalised on the spot immediately after consultation.
If your fund is not covered under HICAPS we will provide you with an invoice which you submit to your fund to receive your refund. In this circumstance the full fee must be paid first.
